Rappler's Data team isolates hundreds of races where the results can still flip

MANILA, Philippines – Hundreds of electoral races — all but one at the local level — remain unfinished two nights after the May 12 elections, with the votes too close between contenders while a number of polling precincts have yet to transmit their counts.

As of the latest transmission on Tuesday, May 13, Rappler’s Data team isolated 734 contests where the lead between the frontrunner and the second candidate is less than the votes that could still come in from untransmitted precincts.

97.34% of precincts have been transmitted, but the last 2.7% matters a lot to the following candidates.
