Chef JR Royol guested on Mikee Quintos' "Lutong Bahay" where he was asked to rank his fellow food content creators.
On Monday's episode, the food explorer of "Farm to Table" and "Unang Hirit" showed Mikee and Kuya Dudut how to cook Bigorot (Bicolanong Igorot) pinikpikan.
During the show's Kitchen-Terrogate segment, Mikee playfully asked Chef JR to rank Abi Marquez, Erwan Heussaff, Ninong Ry, and Marvin Agustin as food content creators, with one being the highest and four the lowest.
"Content creator ah, hindi as a chef," he cheekily clarified before ranking the Lumpia Queen as No. 1. "So, 'yung mas napapanood ko 'yung content, Abi Marquez."
He also denied that he's being biased because he and Abi are friends, adding, "Hindi naman, nagkasama kami nung isang event, pero mas napapanood ko talaga siya."
Chef JR then ranked Ninong Ry as second, followed by Marvin, then Erwan as last.
When asked by Mikee why he gave Erwan such ranking, Chef JR shared that he personally finds the content creator's method quite complicated.
"'Yung sa mga napapanood ko lang na content niya, para sa akin lang, medyo nakukumplikahan lang ako with the steps," he said of Erwan. "Pero lahat naman sila magagaling eh, as food content creators."
Mikee replied, "Feeling ko market ni Erwan 'yung mga mas may skills na sa kitchen," to which Chef JR agreed.
During the episode, Chef JR also shared about fatherhood and how he changed careers to become a chef, among others.
Catch "Lutong Bahay" on weekdays at 5:45 p.m. on GTV.
