Chappell Roan is back with a new anthem.
The singer unleashed her country side with “The Giver,” and sang about her signature themes of self-confidence and queer love stories.
“The Giver” comes with a lyric video featuring Chappell dressed as a plumber, construction worker, detective, dentist, and lawyer.
The track is believed by fans to be part of Chappell’s upcoming second album. The artist first performed the song on “Saturday Night Live” in November 2024.
Chappell’s debut album, “The Rise and Fall of a Midwestern Princess,” dropped in 2023. It includes the songs “Hot to Go,” “Pink Pony Club,” and “Red Wine Supernova.”
Her hit single, “Good Luck, Babe!”, was released in 2024.
Chappell was named Best New Artist at the 2025 Grammy Awards in February.
She made waves for her moving speech about record labels caring for their artists. She recounted her experience of being unable to afford health insurance when she was dropped from her label. —Nika Roque/JCB, GMA Integrated News
