The initiative benefited a total of 745 families, with 420 receiving essential food packs, while 325 fami-lies were also provided with construction materials to aid in the recovery and rebuilding of homes damaged by the typhoon.

Under the leadership of CDC President and CEO Agnes VST Devanadera, the corporation reallocated funds originally intended for its 2024 Christmas party and additional re-sources from its corporate social responsibility (CSR) budget to procure essential goods and materials for donation.

Barangay Dinadiawan in Dipaculao was one of the communities hardest hit by the typhoon and was among the primary recipients of the relief efforts.

Aurora Gov. Reynante Tolentino underscored the widespread devastation caused by the typhoon and stressed the importance of collaboration between the public and private sectors.

"Typhoon Pepito really devastated Dipaculao, where it was strongest hit. It is difficult to recover, so we asked for help, especially from national and private institutions. The cooperation of private institutions and our local government units is very important, and the needs such as food, drinks and materials for the damaged houses have been met," he said.

Dipaculao Mayor Danilo Tolentino also expressed his appreciation for CDC's timely assistance.

CDC's relief efforts, coordinated with the Department of Social Welfare and Development, local and provincial governments, ensured that the most affected families received aid to help them recover and rebuild their homes.
