Carla Abellana honored the memory of her late grandmother, veteran actress Delia Razon, in one of the best ways possible.

On Instagram Thursday, the Kapuso star shared photos of her wearing a necklace with a heart-shaped pendant containing Delia's green bones. Carla fondly calls her grandmother "mamang."

"Back to work! Forever with Mamang now. These are her green bones," she wrote in the caption.

In Chinese belief, green bones found in the ashes of those who passed away symbolize a life lived with love and kindness. Chinese expert Johnson Chua also said that green bones bring good karma and are known to ward off negative energies.

From a scientific perspective, though, the green discoloration is known to occur when bones are exposed to certain chemicals, compounds, or medications, such as antibiotics.

Delia, born Lucy May Grytz, passed away on March 15 at the age of 94, as announced by Carla on March 16. Her cause of death was not revealed.

Delia's career spanned more than 60 years and saw her star in films such as "Rodrigo De Villa" and Mutya ng Pasig," to name a few.

She was married to Aurelio Reyes. Their daughter, Rea, is Carla's mother.
