Several establishments in Metro Manila and the rest of the Philippines are again participating in this year's Earth Hour.

Earth Hour is a global grassroots movement uniting people to take action on environmental issues and protect the planet by switching off lights for one hour on March 22, from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

In case you'll be out on the said day and time, here are different locations in Metro Manila that are set to participate in the "lights off" movement and other events available on Earth Hour.

7-Eleven stores

The lights will be turned off in over 4000 7-Eleven stores across the country on Earth Hour, but the stores will remain open and fully operational throughout Earth Hour.

Araneta City

On Earth Hour, Araneta City will power down in sync with millions worldwide for the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) Earth Hour Switch Off. In one hour, Araneta City switches off the lights from its famous landmarks, establishments, and streets to signify its commitment to sustainability and a greener future.

Uptown Bonifacio

Enjoy a night of music with an unplugged concert featuring rock band Over October at the Uptown Mall alfresco area on March 22. The event begins with a "Countdown to Earth Hour," followed by a breathtaking 1,000-candle illumination ceremony.

Venice Grand Canal

Experience a Floating Lotus Ceremony where 600 illuminated lotus flowers will drift across the Venice Grand Canal in McKinley Hill on Earth Hour. They will form the iconic "60+" symbol—a tribute to the 60-minute commitment to Earth Hour.

Forbes Town

Witness a dazzling visual display of 600 solar-powered lights illuminating the Glowing Garden at Burgos Park on Earth Hour, symbolizing the community's dedication to sustainability.

Arcovia City

Immerse in a night of tranquility with a live harp performance at The Viewdeck from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on March 22, creating a serene, candle-lit atmosphere.

Earth Hour is an initiative of WWF, which started in Sydney, Australia in 2007. The Philippines began joining in 2008.

Since then, the annual switch-off event has grown into a global grassroots movement, engaging millions of supporters in more than 185 countries and territories.
