MANILA, Philippines — A Chinese national, allegedly kidnapped, was rescued by police in Parañaque City.
In a statement on Sunday, December 14, the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) reported that the 26-year-old Chinese national was rescued from a condominium in Parañaque City.
According to the NCRPO, the rescue operation was initiated after receiving a tip via the PNP Hotline Facebook page.
Following the report, the NCRPO said police converged on a room at the Marina Seaview Residence in Barangay Don Galo.
Inside the unit, authorities found the victim along with four male suspects, aged 25 to 31, and a 39-year-old female suspect.
All six suspects are foreigners, though their nationalities were not immediately disclosed in the report.
Initial investigation revealed that the victim had allegedly been detained since December 9, 2025. The suspects were reportedly demanding a ransom of P1 million for the victim’s release.
Disturbingly, the victim told police that P500,000 had already been paid to the abductors.
All six suspects are now in police custody and are facing a thorough investigation, according to the NCRPO.
