Ascendion Expands AI-Driven Software Engineering in PH, Aims to Create 6,000 Jobs

Ascendion, a global leader in AI-driven software engineering, is beefing up its presence in the Philippines by integrating Collabera Digital under its brand. This move is set to create at least 6,000 new jobs in the country over the next three years, with an estimated economic impact of $500 million.

The company is going all-in on AI, with plans to certify every software engineer in the Philippines in AI deployment. This initiative aims to equip the local workforce with cutting-edge skills for next-gen software development.

Ascendion CEO Karthik Krishnamurthy emphasized their commitment to the Philippines, stating, “We are redefining how we serve clients and empower local talent with global capabilities.”

Key initiatives include:

1. AI-Enabled Engineering Teams: Hundreds of AI agents will assist engineers in various aspects of software development.
2. 100% AI Certification: All Philippines-based engineers will receive specialized AI training.
3. AI Studio Manila: A new facility dedicated to collaborative AI development and research.

Manan Mehta, SVP of Global Growth Markets at Ascendion, highlighted the Philippines’ potential as a global leader in AI innovation, citing the country’s tech-savvy population.

Ascendion is also introducing two AI-driven platforms to the Philippines:

1. Ascendion AVA+: An AI-first software engineering accelerator.
2. MeTAL: A talent orchestration platform connecting Filipino professionals to global projects.

The company’s expansion plans include strengthening Manila’s role as a key center for AI-powered software engineering and providing AI-first software solutions to global enterprises.

With this integration, Ascendion is positioning itself at the forefront of AI-driven software engineering in the Philippines, promising exciting opportunities for local tech talent and contributing significantly to the country’s economic growth in the digital sector.
