ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines — Up to P18.1 million worth of property was destroyed in a fire that gutted two market buildings shortly before midnight in this city on Thursday.

The fire of still unknown origin broke out at past 11 p.m. in Barangay Zone 3, according to the Bureau of Fire Protection.

No one was reported injured in the fire that started in Building F, where stalls for vegetables and eateries were located.

The flames quickly spread to other parts of the market and damaged the nearby Building G.
