MANILA, Philippines — Businessman Leo Rey Yanson was re-appointed chairman and president of Rural Transit (Mindanao) Inc. (RTMI) during the company’s annual stockholders’ meeting on Feb. 12, 2025.
RTMI also reelected shareholders Leo Rey, Olivia Yanson, Leo Charle Dumancas, Rey Ardo, Anita Chua and Daniel Nicolas Golez as members of the board of directors.
Following the election, the board subsequently reappointed Leo Rey as chairman of the board and president of RTMI and Olivia as corporate secretary and treasurer, the company said in a statement.
Leo Rey assured the public that despite the operational challenges, the company remains strong and resilient.
“We remain steadfast in our goal to serve the Filipino commuters and provide the most reliable means of public transportation,” he said.
Rural Transit Mindanao services major bus routes in Northern and Central Mindanao.
It belongs to the Bacolod City-based Yanson Group of Bus Companies, the largest road transport conglomerate in the country.
