Xiaomi has officially launched the Redmi A5 4G in Indonesia, offering consumers a budget-friendly smartphone with impressive features.

The Redmi A5 sports a 6.88-inch IPS LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a brightness of 450 nits, ensuring smooth visuals and clear viewing even under direct sunlight. The device measures 171.7 x 77.8 x 8.3 mm and weighs 193 grams, making it both sizable and manageable for daily use.

Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the Unisoc T7250 processor, coupled with 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of internal storage, expandable via a dedicated microSD slot. Additionally, it supports 4GB of virtual RAM, enhancing multitasking capabilities. The device runs on Android 15 (Go Edition), providing a streamlined user experience.

In the camera department, the Redmi A5 features a 32MP rear camera accompanied by an LED flash and an 8MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls. Powering the device is a robust 5,200mAh battery with support for 15W charging via USB Type-C, ensuring extended usage throughout the day. Connectivity options include dual SIM support, dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.2, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The Redmi A5 4G is available in Midnight Black, Sandy Gold, and Lake Green color options. Priced at IDR 1,199,000 (approximately PHP 4,199), the smartphone is now available through Xiaomi’s official online and offline channels across Indonesia.

While the Redmi A5 has been launched in Indonesia, there is no official word yet on its availability in the Philippines. However, given Xiaomi’s track record, it’s possible that the device may arrive in the Philippine market in the near future.
