LAGUNA, Philippines — Criminal charges have been filed against a security guard tagged as the principal suspect in the death of a woman whose body was found inside a plastic storage box in Camarines Norte.
The charges against Arnel Domingo Jr. was filed before the City Prosecutor’s Office in Cabuyao, Laguna on Friday, according to Lt. Col. Randy Oliquino, Cabuyao police chief.
Oliquino said Domingo was assisted by a lawyer from the Public Attorney’s Office during the inquest proceedings and the filing of murder charges against him.
Domingo did not execute an affidavit of confession although police said he had admitted to probers that he killed his partner Anelis Agocoy, 37.
Oliquino said the case is considered solved following the surrender of the suspect and the filing of the criminal charges against him.
The box bearing Agocoy’s body was found floating in a river in Basud, Camarines Norte.
