Why does Rachelle Ann Go cover the faces of her children on their social media photos?
The international theater actress addressed this question on Tuesday's episode of "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda."
"Ang gulo po ng mundo ngayon, Tito Boy, eh," she said.
"Ayoko lang magamit 'yung litrato po ng mga anak ko. So mas magandang protektahan po," she said.
Rachelle is married to Martin Spies, who is South African. They have two children, Lukas and Sela, and the family is based in London, United Kingdom.
She also talked about how they are raising their kids.
"Tatlong lengguwahe po 'yung natututuhan ngayon ng mga bata," she said, sharing that she talks to them in Tagalog while Martin speaks to them in Afrikaans.
When asked about her parenting style, Rachelle said, "Hindi po ako namamalo, Tito Boy, eh. Kasi uso sa 'Pinas ang pamamalo, pero sabi ko, 'yung sa mga anak ko, tina-try po ang gentle parenting. Ang hirap."
Instead, Rachelle initiates gentle conversations with the kids.
"Lalo na po 'yung panganay ko. He's turning four. Mas gusto niya ang gano'n, Tito Boy. Usapan. Ayaw niya ng harsh. Gusto niya ng sweet lang. Do'n bumababa po 'yung kaniyang anger," she said.
Rachelle is known for playing Gigi in "Miss Saigon."
She is also part of the Europe and Australia tour of "Les Miserables" as Fantine.
She has played the character, a dying prostitute, in various stagings and tours of "Les Miserables," including its 30th anniversary at the Sondheim Theatre. She won the Broadway World UK Award for Best Female Performance in a Long-Running West End Show in 2015.
