MANILA, Philippines — It's the weekend, and here is the rundown of events and activities you might want to check out.

CoJ supremacy

The milestones have not stopped yet for Cup of Joe who are set to become the first local act to headline a solo show at the Philippine Sports Stadium on May 23.

So far only K-pop boy bands Seventeen, NCT 127 and Enhypen have performed at the Bulacan venue beside the Philippine Arena.

“Sandali: The Cup of Joe Fest” will be directed by Paolo Valenciano, who previously helmed Cup of Joe’s two-day sold-out “Silakbo” shows last year at the Araneta Coliseum.

Expect a flurry of the band's hits, including "Tingin," "Misteryoso," "Estranghero," "Mananatili," "Pahina" and of course "Multo."

Food expos

This is one for the foodies to enjoy in Metro Manila and Cagayan de Oro.

This weekend at the World Trade Center is the International Food Exhibition (IFEX) Philippines, a trade show where international food, beverage, and ingredients will be on display.

Top industry players will gather for innovation and sustainable food solutions, discover global flavors and forge partnerships.

Way down south in Cagayan de Oro's The Atrium in the Limketkai Center is the returning World Food Expo, billed as the ultimate food and beverage experience in Northern Mindanao.

WOFEX will higlight food service products and trends within the region the whole weekend, free to the public.

Intramuros photowalk

The Walled City in Manila will host on Saturday and Sunday morning the local edition of World Photowalk.

Attendees are invited to bring all sorts of cameras and join the large community of creatives to capture moments in the historical site.

Faith architecture at the malls

Filipino visual artist Joel Reglos is set to unveil his fifth solo exhibition, "Reminiscence." In partnership with Altro Mondo Creative Space, the exhibit is on view this month at the Gateway Gallery.

Reglos deliberately steps back from the present to re-engage with the raw energy of his formative years. Known for his mastery of the impasto technique and his signature use of heavy, sculptural textures, Reglos utilizes this exhibition to honor the specific palettes and vertical color compositions that first defined his voice.

"The exhibition title captures a dual meaning: a technical looking-back at the language of abstraction and a spiritual accounting of the "wilderness years."

"This collection revisits a period of intense struggle and sacrifice. It was a time when I had to surrender my path to the Divine, trusting that the journey had a destination I couldn't yet see. These pieces are reminders that the trials we endure are not obstacles, but essential parts of a larger, beautiful plan," the artist shared.

The exhibition marks a significant milestone in Reglos’s career, following a string of successful showcases, including recent participation in the Philippine International Furniture Show and features in major business and lifestyle publications. As a resident of Lucena City and a proud representative of the Quezon Province art community, Reglos continues to bridge the gap between regional identity and the global language of abstraction.

"Reminiscence" opens on Saturday, May 23, at the Gateway Gallery.
