MANILA, Philippines – Father Robert Reyes, an activist priest, called on Filipinos to “sustain accountability” after former president Rodrigo Duterte was arrested over a crimes against humanity case at the International Criminal Court.

Reyes, a convenor of the group Clergy for Good Governance, delivered the homily during a thanksgiving Mass at the historic EDSA Shrine on Wednesday, March 12.

“Hindi dapat tumigil, hindi dapat manawa, hindi dapat mapagod at tuluyan nang mawalan ng gana at init ng pananagutan (We should not stop, we should not lose heart, we should not get tired and completely lose interest and passion for commitment),” Reyes said.
