MANILA, Philippines – The Iglesia ni Cristo prayer rally on Monday, January 13, gathered around 1.58 million INC members in a common appeal for peace in the country.

This comes as tension heats up between President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and Vice President Sara Duterte, both of whom got the INC’s support in the 2022 elections.

In an interview with reporters, INC spokesman Brother Edwil Zabala explained the rationale behind the peace rally at Quirino Grandstand and 12 other venues in the Philippines.
