Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle calls for more prayers for Pope Francis during the Sunday Mass at the Pontificio Collegio Filippino

MANILA, Philippines – Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle, the world’s highest ranking Filipino churchman, prayed for the healing of Pope Francis at a Mass on Sunday, February 23.

Tagle, pro-prefect of the Vatican’s Dicastery for Evangelization, appealed for more prayers for the Pope during the Sunday Mass at the Pontificio Collegio Filippino, the home of Filipino priests in Rome.

The Pope has been confined for more than a week at Rome’s Gemelli Hospital due to double pneumonia. He is in critical condition.
