The Vice President sent her message for the 111th anniversary of the INC on Sunday, July 27, despite being out of the country to attend the “Free Duterte Rally” in South Korea on the same day.
“Nais kong ipaabot ang aking pagbati at pasasalamat kay Ka Eduardo V. Manalo sa kanyang kahanga-hangang pamumuno at sa kadalisayan ng kanyang puso sa pagsusulong ng pagkakaisa, pagkakaunawaan, at pananampalataya sa gitna ng iba’t ibang prinsipyo at idolohiya sa lipunan (I would like to send my greetings to Ka Eduardo V. Manalo for his admirable leadership and the purity of his heart in pushing for unity, understanding, and faith in the midst of different principles and ideologies in the society),” she said.
“Maraming salamat sa ating mga kapatid sa katatagan ng inyong paniniwala sa Diyos at pagmamahal sa ating bansa. Maraming salamat at lagi ninyong ipinagdarasal ang kaayusan, kapayapaan, at kapakanan ng Pilipinas (Thank you to our brothers and sisters in your strong faith on God and your love for the country. Thank you for always praying for order, peace, and welfare of the Philippines),” she added.
The INC has endorsed the candidacy of the Vice President when she ran and won in the 2022 national elections.
With a command vote ranging from three to five million, the INC has a strong political voice, which it also used to call out the impeachment case against Duterte.
In her message, the Vice President said she joins the INC in not only celebrating their anniversary but in praying that their faith in God and the promise of salvation be strengthened.
She urged them to continue being examples of God’s love and to stand up for the truth according to the Lord’s teachings.
