MANILA, Philippines — Former president Rodrigo Duterte will not be released from detention next week, Vice President Sara Duterte said on Tuesday in the Netherlands.

Denying false online claims, the Vice President said her father remains in the custody of the International Criminal Court in The Hague.

Duterte’s trial for crimes against humanity is set for Nov. 30.

The Vice President said her father was in high spirits when she visited and he is comfortable with the temperature in The Hague.

Sara will lead another “Free Duterte Now” rally in The Hague to demand her father’s release.

She is expected to return to the Philippines tomorrow, when her travel authority ends.
