MANILA, Philippines — Volleyball Nations League Women’s Week 2 will be held at Philsports Arena from June 17 to 21.
The women’s division of the VNL returns to the Philippines for the first time in four years, with the prestigious international tournament releasing the schedule for its second week in Pasig City.
The VNL was initially slated to be held in Cebu, as announced last year, but officials inspected Philsports Arena in the past few months before Volleyball World released the schedule listing the Pasig venue as the official host site.
Defending champion United States, fan favorite Japan, Czechia, Dominican Republic and Serbia are among the teams set to compete in the Philippines.
The historic Philsports Arena has hosted several major international events, including last year’s AVC Women’s Champions League.
It was also named the “House of Futsal” and serves as the home of the PFF Futsaliga 2026 following Pasig’s hosting of the 2025 FIFA Futsal Women’s World Cup.
The last time the country hosted the women’s VNL was in June 2022 at Smart Araneta Coliseum, featuring Japan, Poland, Canada, Thailand, China, Bulgaria, Belgium and the United States.
Hosting the VNL is part of the country’s buildup for the 2029 FIVB Women’s World Championship.
The Philippines also hosted three men’s VNL legs from 2022 to 2024 before staging the FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship last year.
