Villanueva submits defense to DOJ over flood control project

MANILA, Philippines — Senator Joel Villanueva on Friday responded to the criminal complaint filed against him over the flood control project ahead of the scheduled preliminary investigation on January 26. Villanueva appeared before the Department of Justice to submit and sign his counter-affidavit. He faces charges for violating the Anti-Graft Law, malversation of public funds
