Metro Manila always has room for another quaint coffee shop.
Cong Caphe, one of Vietnam's famous coffee chains founded in 2007, has officially opened its doors at Gateway Mall 2 in Quezon City.
Saying true to its Vietnamese counterparts, the aesthetic of the first Philippine branch remains rustic and vintage, with all pieces of furniture made out of wood.
The walls are adorned with a patchwork of old-like wooden shutters and panels in different shades, evoking a nostalgic feel, while the concrete walls and tiled surfaces provide a slightly modern contrast to the rustic theme.
As for the chairs, they're complemented with red floral cushions for a pop of color. This type of chair cushion is common in Vietnam and is similar to those found in old houses in Philippine provinces.
When it comes to the menu, Cong Caphe brought in most of their signature food and drinks from Vietnam, giving you a wide range of choices straight from the Land of the Blue Dragon.
If you're new to Cong Caphe, you might want to begin with a hot cup of Coconut Coffee (P200/16 oz.), one of the café's bestsellers.
Meanwhile, if you fancy an iced coffee, opt for Brown (P180/12oz/), made of coffee and condensed milk.
Cong Caphe also offers Pork Banh Mi (P250), Beef Satay Banh Mi (P260), and Lemongrass Chicken Banh Mi (P250), but if you want something lighter, get the croissant (P165), which comes with 30g of condensed milk for dipping.
Cong Caphe is located at 2/F Gateway Mall 2, Cubao, Quezon City. It's open daily from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. —JCB, GMA Integrated News
