MANILA, Philippines — Miss Universe 2024 Victoria Kjaer Theilvig is now the license holder of the Miss Universe Denmark franchise, succeeding Dubai-based Filipino businessman Josh Yugen.

The main Miss Universe Organization announced on their social media accounts that Victoria, Denmark's first titleholder, is the new franchisee of Miss Universe Denmark.

"Victoria embodies everything a true queen represents: grace, kindness, humility, and beauty with a purpose. Her journey continues to inspire, and we are proud to have her lead this new chapter," said the pageant. "We are a family, and Victoria stands as our greatest example of strength, elegance and heart."

Several pageant fans and beauty queens, including Victoria's predecessor Sheynnis Palacios, celebrated the announcement in the comments section.

Yugen took over the Miss Universe Denmark franchise in 2025 after Victoria's historic win and tapped Monique Sonne to succeed her in representing Denmark.

Sonne did not make it out of the first round as Victoria crowned Mexico's Fatima Bosch in what many still view as a controversial result. The Philippines' representative Ahtisa Manalo finished as the third runner-up.

Victoria will now take charge of who will represent Denmark in the diamond edition of Miss Universe, taking place in Puerto Rico later this year.

Athisa, meanwhile, will crown her successor at Miss Universe Philippines 2026 at a coronation event this May 1.
