Industrialist Victor Lim has been elected as the new president of the Federation of Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (FFCCCII), signaling a focus on continued business and socio-civic development.

Lim's election, which followed three rounds of voting by 800 delegates representing 170 Filipino Chinese business chambers and organizations, took place during the convention held at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.

Lim succeeded Dr. Cecilio K. Pedro, who steered the federation through post-pandemic recovery and digitalization from 2023 to 2025.

Lim brings to the role four decades of experience as the President/CEO of VECO Paper Corporation and Everwealth Traders and Development Corporation.

He has also held leadership positions in various industry groups, including the Philippine Stationeries Association and the Alliance of Paper Traders Association.

Additionally, Lim is a strong advocate for education, serving as Vice President of the St. Stephen’s High School Board of Trustees.

The FFCCCII, which noted its 71-year history of nation-building, is known for its diverse initiatives, including economic advocacies, the “Operation Barrio Schools” program that has donated over 6,400 rural public school buildings, disaster relief efforts, and free medical and dental missions.

The federation also supports Filipino Chinese volunteer fire brigades across the Philippines.
