MANILA, Philippines — Members of the Philippine Health Insurance Corp. (PhilHealth) should avail themselves of preventive oral health benefits worth P1,000.
PhilHealth members are entitled annually to emergency tooth extraction and dental services, such as oral screening, dental prophylaxis, fluoride varnish application and teeth protection using a sealant.
“Inquire at Yakap clinic of your choice so you can be referred to oral health benefit package providers, such as primary care dental clinics and health facilities licensed by the Department of Health,” PhilHealth said.
The DOH said dental check-ups should be done at least twice a year.
