Every brand earns trust as it journeys through life—and Uratex leverages its legacy of more than five decades, sustained by loyalty and driven by innovation. This year, the foam and sleep solutions brand celebrated another remarkable feat—its 17th Trusted Brand Award from Reader's Digest.

The full-day celebration was capped off with a showcase, “Tried, Tested, Trusted,” highlighting Uratex’s commitment to excellence and trust through the years, from the factory to every Filipino home. The hallmark event was held at Ronac Living Gallery in Mandaluyong City, where gratitude, recognition, legacy, and life came together.

Trust beyond the label
For Uratex Managing Director Peachy Medina, the recognition is more than just another accolade.

“Being recognized as a Trusted Brand for 17 years is a meaningful affirmation for us,” she said. “Trust is something that’s earned. It’s built through how we serve—through our products, our service, and the promises we keep.”

Echoing this sentiment was Uratex Founder and CEO Natividad “Naty” Cheng, who has witnessed the company grow from a local foam producer to a household name synonymous with quality sleep and everyday comfort.

“We’ve stood by our customers for over five decades,” said Naty. “Trust is something we earn every night. And we’re grateful that we continue to be a brand Filipinos can rely on.”

The Reader’s Digest Trusted Brand Awards are held across Asia through surveys, recognizing brands that stand out for their commitment to integrity, quality, and deep customer trust. Uratex has remained the most trusted name in the mattress category for 17 consecutive years—an exceptional achievement in an ever-evolving industry.

A glimpse behind the brand
Before the official launch, partners and members of the media were given exclusive access to Uratex’s foam manufacturing facility in Plaridel, Bulacan, home to the company’s national operations center.

Spanning over 450,000 square meters, the site showcases Uratex’s commitment to innovation and eco-friendly practices. During the visit, guests witnessed firsthand how the brand’s lean manufacturing techniques and real-time monitoring systems ensure high-volume, high-quality production—from automated foam block creation and cutting to robot-assisted mattress assembly lines.

Every Uratex product is marked by meticulous attention to detail, supported by in-house testing labs, ISO-certified quality checks, and upgraded warehouses. These qualities ensure that the Uratex promise is delivered every time. Beyond product care, it is also a factory of function, employing over 500 people who continuously uphold the brand promise, shift after shift.

“We may be known for our foams and mattresses,” said Medina, “but we want to be known for being reliable—whether you’re a customer, a partner, or a team member.”

Honoring partnerships, upholding values
The “Tried, Tested, Trusted” celebration also marked the lasting relationships Uratex has built over the years. Among those recognized were the Philippine Orthopaedic Association and the Philippine Society of Sleep Medicine, honored for their continued collaboration and dedication to advancing sleep and wellness standards.

The event also featured a chat with Naty and Executive Vice Presidents Eddie Gallor (Automotive) and William Lee (Furniture and Bedding), who shared insights on how Uratex stays ahead through operational sophistication, family-centric principles, and innovation-driven strategies.

Joining the celebration were Uratex ambassadors Atom Araullo, Alyssa Valdez, Pauleen Luna-Sotto, and Janeena Chan—individuals who embody the brand’s core values of unwavering trust and reliability.

Looking ahead
As it approaches its 58th year, Uratex aims to go beyond awards and milestones. The brand looks toward the future with plans to expand innovatively and reliably, including the establishment of a dedicated distribution center to enhance delivery efficiency.

“What we do every day is really about helping people sleep better, live better, and trust that we’re here for the long run,” Medina shared. “That trust is not something we take for granted—it’s what pushes us to do better, every day.”
