THE UP Diliman BS Interior Design (BSID) Batch of 2025 celebrated its most significant milestone with the official turnover event of their capstone project at Saint Vincent de Paul Shelter for Girls last Dec. 27, 2024.
This annual project showed the UP BSID program's commitment to social advocacy. This year, the batch's dream of transforming the shelter's spaces through the power of interior design came true after months of hard work.
The students redesigned multiple key areas in the shelter's ground floor, including the entryway, receiving area, hallway, stairs, toilet and bath, stockroom, dining area, kitchen and multipurpose area.
The project's success was evident through the joy and gratitude expressed by the girls and sisters of Saint Vincent de Paul. Their smiles, along with those from other attendees of the turnover event, reflected the deep connection of Silay Kulay's mission: to create a safe, nurturing and empowering environment that inspires hope, healing and personal growth.
This project continued the 22-year legacy of UP Diliman interior design students giving back to the Filipino community through thoughtful and impactful design projects.

Their work, along with the previous batches', has been a testament to their vision and dedication to creating nurturing, functional and beautiful spaces.
