Hajji Alejandro’s girlfriend, Alynna Velasquez, took to social media to share she visited her boyfriend's star at the Eastwood City Walk of Fame.
Dressed in all black, Alynna brought a bouquet of flower and a note for the OPM legend’s star. The area was decorated with candles and a portrait of Hajji, which Alynna kissed.
“I was unable to go to your wake for reasons I don’t have control of. But I am glad I am here to pray for you and watch your star shine!” Alynna said in her caption.
“You truly are a legend and your wonderful music will live on forever. We love you so much!” she added with the hashtags, #IMissYouLove and #HappyAnniversary.
Hajji passed away on Tuesday. He was 70 years old.
In her heartfelt tribute, Alynna revealed they would've celebrated their 27th anniversary on April 22.
Hajji had been battling stage 4 colon cancer since early this year and underwent an operation in February, Alynna said.
Born Angelito Toledo Alejandro, Hajji was a member of the Circus Band and won at the Metro Manila Popular Music Festival with the song "Kay Ganda ng Ating Musika."
Among his other hit songs are "Panakip-butas," "Tag-Araw, Tag-Ulan," and more.
