Comedienne Kiray Celis has mastered the art of making up excuses to dodge topics on getting married.
Now a successful CEO of her own online company, even at 30, Kiray feels walking down the aisle isn't an auspicious time yet: "Ngayon pa nga lang ako 'nagdadalaga' (I'm just at the threshold of being a lady)."
Kiray admits to being asked by her beau Stephan Estopia to settle down, but instead of turning his proposal down: "I make demands difficult for him to meet, like 'I want my wedding ring to be this pricey!' It's my way of saying I'm not yet prepared for it."
She confesses she's presently in a stage where career blessings have just actually begun pouring in torrents, thanks to her live online selling.
Having started her showbiz career at 3, believe it or not, it was only when she reached her present age that she had acquired a car of her own: "But I've already invested in properties for my family way before, like having an apartment built for regular income."

Looking after her widowed brother's kids, Kiray all the more needs to seize every chance she can get to better her life as she readies herself for the future.
Next to her loved ones, Kiray credits Stephan as her beacon of inspiration to keep going: "Between the two of us, he's the business risk taker. He tells me that if random people run to me to sell their products on line, why don't I get into selling myself?"
A greater part of her entrepreneurial success is, of course, being a well-known celebrity: "Yes but people patronize my products because basically, they believe and need what I offer them!"
With her mindset not yet on getting hitched, it seems ironic to see Kiray far more clingy than Stephan doing their short home kitchen vlogs, one cannot help but ask — is this the girl who refuses to be a wife?

Not only did I find her making her boyfriend Mavy Legaspi smell her armpit while holed up in Pinoy Big Brother's Bahay ni Kuya lacking sense of propriety, Ashley Ortega's act was also gauche as it was gross.
Ashley and Mavy have already admitted to their relationship, all right. But shouldn't that affectionate display — or whatever you may call it — have been done within the privacy of the condo unit they share, away from the public eye?
Worse, televised at that?
Early on, Ashley had made a startling confession to Ivana Alawi that she and her mom have not been on speaking terms for three years.
She didn't make any disclosure what caused the mom-and-daughter rift though.
Ashley's has manifested that her PBB exposure would hopefully yield a positive result: "I hope we get to reconcile."
Meanwhile, Ashley takes pride in being warmly welcome by Mavy's parents Carmina Villaroel and Zoren Legaspi into their household. This sets Ashley apart from Mavy's previous girlfriend Kyline Alcantara. A plus point for her.
But with the armpit-smelling scene right in front of the other PBB housemates, I honestly doubt if the Legaspi couple still feels the same toward their son's flame. Old school as they are, Ashley's gesture proved to be a major turn-off.
Imagining what the Kapuso actress' mom feels about it leaves as much wonder.
