MANILA, Philippines — Sen. Raffy Tulfo yesterday slammed law enforcers for turning a blind eye to illegal online cockfighting operations.
At yesterday’s Senate games and amusement committee hearing, Tulfo criticized the Philippine National Police (PNP), Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center and the National Bureau of Investigation for failing to stop e-sabong operations.
Tulfo accused a certain “Pineda” and “Bernos” of being gambling kingpins.
Despite the total ban on e-sabong, live video footage presented by Tulfo showed an illegal operation in Central Luzon.
“Yes, you’ve taken down e-sabong sites, but they’re of a smaller scale; guerillas,” he said. “You know who the gambling kingpin is, hindi niyo magalaw-galaw.”
