COTABATO CITY, Philippines —  A pick-up truck that was reported stolen in Lucena, Quezon was found by police officers in Lamitan, Basilan on Monday.

Police said the Toyota Hilux was intercepted by members of the Bangsamoro highway patrol group along a road in Lamitan following information provided by civilians.

Probers withheld the name of the driver of the truck as they have yet to determine how the vehicle came to Basilan.

A global positioning system or GPS installed in the truck helped speed up the recovery of the vehicle.

Police said they have yet to inform the real owner about the recovery of the vehicle.
