ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines — A man died while five others were injured when a dump truck plunged into a ravine in Margosatubig, Zamboanga del Sur on Saturday.

Reports said that the truck, driven by a 36-year-old utility worker and with five garbage collectors on board, was traveling down a winding road in Barangay Kalian when it figured in the accident.

The fatality was reportedly thrown off the truck and hit his head on a tree.

Responding barangay officials brought the injured workers to a hospital for treatment.
