Toyo Eatery just bagged the highly prestigious Gin Mare Art of Hospitality Award, an honor given by The World's 50 Best Restaurants that recognizes a restaurant's excellence in service and dining experiences.
The World's 50 Best Restaurants' official Instagram account shared the good news on Tuesday morning, with a reel featuring Toyo Eatery and a text caption that read, "Asia's most hospitable restaurant."
"From the husband-wife duo Jordy and May Navarra, Toyo presents local Filipino ingredients in modern ways, playing with fermentation and preservation techniques to create a bold palate of flavors," the award-giving body wrote.
"With the unique Kamayan menu, guests are encouraged to ditch the cutlery and use their hands to enjoy a feast on banana leaves, creating a convivial atmosphere that encourages guests to be present at the table."
The Gin Mare Art of Hospitality Award is a testament to Toyo Eatery's exceptional service. This award is not given lightly, as it is voted on by over 350 esteemed members of Asia's 50 Best Restaurants Academy. These members were tasked with identifying the establishment that had delivered the most outstanding hospitality experience over the past 18 months.
In 2024, Toyo Eatery clinched the 24th spot in Asia's 50 Best Restaurants.
Toyo Eatery made its debut on the list in 2019 and returned to the ranking at no. 42 in 2023.
The full list of Asia's 50 Best Restaurants for 2025 is set to be revealed on March 25 in Seoul, South Korea.
