Tourists in Baguio City were full of praises for the participants of the Panagbenga Festival’s Grand Street Dance Parade on Saturday morning.

As seen in a report on “24 Oras Weekend,” students and other groups donned colorful eye-catching costumes to highlight their culture for their parade performances.

Tourists stood by the sides of Session Road and Harrison Road to watch the parade.

“I’m very interested to see the people in the traditional costumes,” a female tourist said.

Another said, “I love the stories behind the dances. It’s very amazing.”

A Filipino tourist said, “Lahat sila magaling."

Lucban Catholic School was named champions of the Grand Street Dance Parade for the second year in a row.

St. Louis University was named winner of the Open Category, which highlights festivals from across the Philippines.

Panagbenga Festival is celebrating its 29th year in 2025 with the theme “Blossom Beyond Boundaries.”

“This year’s theme reminds us that growth has no limit. It embodies creativity, passion, and unity that define the community,” Federico Alquiros, president of the Baguio Flower Festival Foundation Inc. (BFFFI), said.

Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong added, “For almost three decades, the Panagbenga has been the platform and bridge for culture. It also showcases the best of what Baguio can offer, artistry that captures the heart of tourists.” —Nika Roque/JCB, GMA Integrated News
