MANILA, Philippines — TJ Trinidad recently made a visit to the set of the upcoming historical biopic “Quezon,” surprising its cast and production crew members.
TJ, who had briefly portrayed Manuel L. Quezon in the final scene of “Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral,” was spotted interacting and bonding with the new actor playing the titular character, Jericho Rosales, over the weekend.
Earlier this year, TBA Studios officially announced that Jericho would take on the role of the first President of the Philippine Commonwealth.

Despite stepping away from continuing the role due to personal commitments, TJ has been vocal in his support for the project, extending his congratulations not only to Jericho but also to Benjamin Alves, who portrayed a younger Quezon in the earlier films of the series.
In photos shared by TBA Studios, the two actors can be seen sharing a hug and showing camaraderie, much to the delight of the cast and crew, which included cast member Romnick Sarmenta, director Jerrold Tarog and TBA Studios president and COO Daphne Chiu-Soon.
“Quezon” is the third and last instalment of Jerrold’s Bayaniverse trilogy, after “Heneral Luna” (2015) and “Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral” (2018).
