The Women’s Business Council Philippines pulled out all the stops when they mounted their Unstoppable Filipina Summit 2025. Held annually, the forum is a wonderful meeting of the minds of women who hold important and top managerial positions, and have over-achieved in diverse arenas - from the Government and LGUs, to Retail, the Hospitality and Food sector, the Tech industry, and so on. Historically, it’s been an illuminating day of resource speakers, panel discussions, and interaction with the audience. This year, it was held at the Dusit Thani Makati ballroom.

And true to form, to spice up the day, one panel in the afternoon was composed of men - very brave men (take a bow, Chico Sy), who entered the lioness’ den. I loved that, as it showed true inclusivity; and the acknowledgement that to really break down the inclusivity barriers to women, the men have to invest and embrace the concept as well. It’s not about replacing one form of exclusivity for another.

A wonderful summit that showcased how women are truly stepping up to the plate, and that things will only get brighter for gender inclusivity in our country.
