CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines — An 18-year-old former construction worker was arrested for the murder of two girls inside a cemetery in Barangay San Juan in Morong, Rizal close to midnight on Saturday.
Police said the suspect, identified only as Jay, admitted to stabbing to death the girls, aged 12 and 13, one of whom was his cousin.
The suspect claimed that a group of bystanders had attacked him inside the cemetery, which left him naked and bloodied.
Investigators, however, said Jay was the last person seen with the girls hours before the bodies were found.
