Leading the mass oath-taking were Governor Henry Oaminal and Vice Governor Rowena Gutierrez, who both secured overwhelming mandates from the people. The ceremony gathered elected officials from all levels – congressional, provincial, city, municipal, and barangay – cementing Team Asenso’s dominance across the province.

“For the first time in our province’s history, we now have a full slate of officials – from congressmen down to barangay councilors – elected under one united banner,” Oaminal said during his inaugural speech.

He emphasized that the victory was more than just a political feat, but a resounding affirmation of public trust in Team Asenso’s leadership and governance.

“This mandate is a collective endorsement of our vision for Misamis Occidental,” he said. “It validates our efforts in advancing the 5Ms development agenda and the strong collaboration we’ve built between the national and local governments.”

The 5Ms is Team Asenso’s main thrust for the province, meaning Misamisnon Magpuyong Malinawon, Malambuon, ug Malipayon or to build a peaceful, progressive, and joyful community.

Also taking their oaths were First District Representative Jason Almonte and Second District Representative Sancho Fernando “Ando” Oaminal, who both reaffirmed their commitment to legislative continuity and development in the province.

Atty. Henry “Indy” Oaminal, the first nominee of the Asenso Pinoy Party-List, also took his oath after securing a congressional seat through the party-list vote. His entry into the House of Representatives further expands Team Asenso’s presence at the national level.

Members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan from both districts, along with mayors, vice mayors, and councilors from Misamis Occidental’s cities and municipalities, participated in the ceremony, marking a rare moment of political unity under a single local coalition.

Governor Oaminal and other officials pledged to continue delivering responsive governance and build on the momentum of their unified leadership.

“We are one in our vision to make Misamis Occidental stronger, safer, and more progressive,” said Oaminal.
