MANILA, Philippines — Actor Taylor Lautner and his wife, also named Taylor Lautner and known as Tay to avoid confusion, are expecting their first child.

Lautner confirmed the news in a joint Instagram post featuring photos of him and Tay in a meadow while holding sonogram pictures.

"What's better than two Taylor Lautners?" Taylor wrote in the caption, teasing that he and Tay might also name their child Taylor.

The couple have previously discussed the possibility of becoming parents on their podcast, "The Squeeze," touching on topics ranging from fertility to Tay's egg count. Tay is a registered nurse.

Relationship in the spotlight. The two first met in 2017 at a game night event and confirmed they were dating in October 2018.

They got married in 2022 after being engaged for a year, then launched their podcast the following year.

Taylor is best known for playing Jacob Black in the "Twilight" franchise.

He has also appeared in "The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl in 3-D," "Scream Queens," "Cheaper by the Dozen 2," "Valentine's Day," "Grown Ups 2," "Cuckoo" and "My Own Worst Enemy."
