Tatler 2025 awardees EJ Obiena, Nanette Medved-Po and Mahar Lagmay
The “Tatler Philippines Ball 2025” unfolded as this year’s most-anticipated social event, a gathering defined by elegance, intention and heartfelt generosity. Held at the Shangri-La at the Fort’s Grand Ballroom, the evening brought together 300 carefully chosen guests to celebrate beauty, culture and philanthropy. This year’s lead beneficiary was World Vision Philippines, with proceeds directed toward alleviating child hunger through the Bawat Batang Pinoy Malusog program — an initiative that resonates deeply with Tatler’s mission to uplift vulnerable communities.
Tatler Philippines managing director Irene Martel Francisco emphasized the importance of purposeful giving. “It means the world to be able to use our platform to deliver concrete and tangible help to the most vital causes in our country,” she said. True to her reputation, Irene ensures that 101 percent of donations go directly to designated beneficiaries, a commitment that inspires confidence and generosity. As of press time, Philippine Tatler had raised over P15 million, with more contributions continuing to pour in.

The auction segment proved to be an important highlight, led by Tatler Philippines editor-in-chief Anton San Diego, Small Laude, Tim Yap, Stephanie Zubiri, and Pia Wurtzbach-Jauncey, with generous bidders adding funds not only for children’s nutrition but also for Cebu communities affected by the recent deadly Typhoon Tino.
Tatler’s Impact Awards honored three remarkable individuals: world-class pole vaulter EJ Obiena; Alfredo Mahar Lagmay, for his groundbreaking work on Project NOAH, the country’s disaster prevention and risk-mapping initiative; and Nanette Medved-Po, founder of Generation Hope, which builds classrooms for communities in need.
After a sumptuous dinner and inspiring program, guests filled the dance floor, ending the night with music, laughter and celebration — all in the spirit of helping those who need it most.
