MANILA, Philippines — Satisfaction with President Marcos has dropped to a new record low in the first quarter of the year, according to the latest survey conducted by Social Weather Stations (SWS).

Results of the March 24 to 31 survey released yesterday showed that only 33 percent of the respondents were satisfied with the President, down from the 40 percent obtained in a similar survey in November 2025.

Those who were dissatisfied with Marcos increased from 43 percent to 49 percent, while those who were undecided hardly moved from 17 percent to 18 percent.

The latest survey figures resulted in a net satisfaction rating of “poor” -15, surpassing Marcos’ previous personal record-low of “poor” -12 that he obtained in March 2025.

Marcos obtained a “neutral” -3 in the November 2025 poll.

The net satisfaction rating is obtained by subtracting those who said they were satisfied from those who were dissatisfied with the performance of the government official.

SWS classifies net satisfaction ratings of at least +70 as “excellent”; +50 to +69 as “very good”; +30 to +49 as “good”; +10 to +29 as “moderate”; +9 to -9 as “neutral”; -10 to -29 as “poor”; -30 to -49 as “bad”; -50 to -69 as “very bad”; and -70 and below as “execrable.”

Across areas, Marcos had the highest satisfaction rating among respondents in balance Luzon at 42 percent (from 46 percent), followed by those in the Visayas at 34 percent (from 44 percent), Metro Manila at 28 percent (from 34 percent) and Mindanao at 20 percent (from 28 percent).

Conversely, dissatisfaction with Marcos was highest among those in Mindanao at 61 percent (from 56 percent), followed by those in Metro Manila at 59 percent (from 51 percent), the Visayas at 48 percent (from 42 percent) and rest of Luzon at 40 percent (from 34 percent).

Satisfaction with the President also dropped across educational levels and in most age groups.
