Sue Ramirez and Diego Loyzaga team up for the second time in the Gino Santos-directed, Viva Films-produced movie "In Between."
While their previous roles in their 2022 film "How to Love Mr. Heartless" were young university students, this time, their characters are a bit more mature in age, but still have a lot to learn about life and love.
Gaila (Ramirez) is in her late 20s who certainly knows how to keep herself busy. She's a freelance musician, make-up artist and graphic artist. Carefree and adventurous, her one vice is drinking beer. She's cynical when it comes to love.
Shane (Loyzaga) is in his early 30s, works in his family's real estate business until he transitions to bartending. He's got his heart broken, but still hopes to find the ideal girl. He's acquired a habit of comparing women to different kinds of alcohol.
On their first meeting, Shane likens Gaila to a beer, a drink he never liked. This changes when they meet for the second time and get to have a real conversation. They discover that they complement each other with their differences, and this leads to them becoming each other's "in-between" — someone they can turn to any time before they end up with "The One."

As each other's in between, they help each other in different aspects of their lives, like at home or in their jobs, or in their sex/love lives. Gaila teaches the perfectionist Shane to loosen up and go on casual dating. Shane teaches Gaila to be brave and look for something that lasts — both in her work and love life.
Connected, but not committed, Shane and Gaila find this companionship convenient. But as one would expect, they start to fall in love. But just when both are feeling like they've found "The One" in each other, Shane's TOTGA (The One That Got Away) comes back.
Come May 7, head to the cinema and follow their story. See if being each other's "In Between" is all they are really meant to be.
