COTABATO, Philippines — A college student was arrested for allegedly engaging in illegal drug activities in Kidapawan, Cotabato on Wednesday.

The suspect was arrested following a sting along Osmeña Drive in Barangay Poblacion.

Charlene Magdurulang, chief of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Soccsksargen, said that the suspect’s relatives themselves tipped off the PDEA about his illegal activities.

Relatives said they had been asking the suspect to stop, but he ignored them.

They said the suspect had been selling shabu near campuses in Kidapawan as well as in the towns of Matalam and Makilala.

Magdurulang said that PDEA agents seized from the suspect shabu with an estimated street value of P40,800 as well as marked money.
