The modernization program is a game-changer; it brings the latest warships, anti-submarine aircrafts and missile systems, elevating the Navy's capability to patrol and extensively defend the Philippine's maritime borders.

The Philippine Navy has reinforced its strategic role, technology-driven and resiliency in safeguarding the national security force.

Recent acquisitions include Multi-Purpose Attack Crafts (MPACs) – Spike-ER missile-equipped; Frigates – BRP Jose Rizal (FF-150), BRP Antonio Luna (FF-151); Corvette – BRP Conrado Yap (ex-Pohang class); Del Pilar-Class Upgrades – Harpoon missile integration New Defense Systems; and Anti-ship missiles (BrahMos pending).

Also acquired are air defense systems; anti-submarine torpedoes; electronic warfare suites; anti-submarine and amphibious capabilities; AW159 Wildcat ASW helicopters; amphibious assault vehicles; Marine Corps upgrades; advanced body armor and helmets; and precision-guided weapons.

Another remarkable moment lights up the Philippine Navy's 127th anniversary with the presence of Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

With a new milestone and as a proof of its endless commitment to secure the seas, the Philippine Navy has just commissioned two new vessels: the BRP Miguel Malvar (FFG-06), a modern guided missile warship; and the BRP Albert Majini (PG-909), a fast attack interdiction craft missile capable for the protection of the Philippines' territorial waters.

The Philippine Navy's modernization efforts have signified a shift to a more versatile and capable maritime force made by the whole Philippine Fleet-Marine Team in safeguarding Philippine sovereignty.
