, /PRNewswire/ -- At 4:28 a.m. on April 23rd, a short circuit occurred on the 0.4-kilovolt line at Pole 07 of the No. 009 public transformer Branch Line of the 1017 line of the 10-kilovolt Kexin Line in Kashgar Ancient City due to rainwater infiltration. This resulted in a power outage for 84 households. The Ancient City Power Supply Office of State Grid Kashgar Power Supply Company responded promptly by organizing repair teams to work under adverse weather conditions and successfully restored power supply at 9:30 a.m. on the same day, fully ensuring the normal life of residents.

Following the fault occurrence, the Gucheng Power Supply Office of State Grid Kashgar Power Supply Company immediately activated its emergency repair plan. At 4:30 a.m., the repair team arrived at the scene promptly. Upon investigation, it was determined that the cause of the fault was the aging insulation layer of the old line combined with rainwater infiltration, which led to a phase-to-phase short circuit. Despite the challenges posed by night operations and rainfall, the repair workers efficiently completed fault isolation and line switching, ensuring timely power restoration for affected users.

As a historical and cultural conservation area, the renovation of power facilities in the ancient city must balance the protection of cultural relics with the enhancement of power supply safety. In December 2024, State Grid Kashgar Power Supply Company initiated renovations on certain lines to address the increased electric heating load during winter. Following this malfunction, the company further optimized its repair processes and expedited the renovation progress of the remaining old lines to enhance the power grid's resilience against disasters.

With the upcoming May Day holiday, the company has organized the Ancient City Power Supply Station to conduct specialized inspections of lines within its jurisdiction, with a focus on identifying potential hazards in power facilities located in the core tourist area. This ensures that tourists can fully experience the charm of the ancient city.

The power supply company continues to strengthen its emergency response capabilities to safeguard uninterrupted power supply for every household. Moving forward, the company will continue to promote the transformation and upgrading of the distribution network, enhancing the reliability of power supply and providing robust support for the economic and social development of Kashgar.
