Agnes Devanadera, president and CEO of Clark Development Corp. (CDC), welcomed DPC's expansion, which aimed to increase revenue and enhance trade among Clark locators.

The CDC chief emphasized the company's commitment to providing support to its registered locators, including ease of doing business, manpower requirements, and promotion and marketing.

"CDC aims to provide not only regulatory and promotional services but also services that will increase locators' revenues. One such service is promoting business interdependence, allowing products to be purchased by other locators who are also registered as export enterprises," Devanadera said.

Established in 2010, DeviceDesign specializes in the development, manufacturing and sales of IoT communication products. The company has been a registered Clark Freeport locator since 2019, subleasing under KX Hitech Phils. Corp.

"After two years of this [expansion] decision, we have established our factory today. In the era of globalization, we plan to make a second leap forward by utilizing [South] Korea's excellent technology and the Philippines' excellent labor force," said Cho Young-Guk, DPC chairman/president.

DeviceDesign develops and sells Bluetooth-related products such as earbuds and headsets as well as LBS location tracking systems. The company is expanding from IoT modules to monitoring systems and medical devices.

Since January 2020, it has commercialized Bluetooth thermometers and earbud thermometers with plans to include health care devices using heart rate and brain wave monitoring, according to its website.
