Now in its third year, SM Store’s Shop&Share Movement continues to create ripples of change across the country. What began as a simple way to give back has evolved into a long-term, purpose-driven initiative that empowers customers to make a difference with every purchase.

Introduced in 2023, Shop&Share reimagines retail as a force for good—inviting shoppers to support curated donation kits at subsidized prices and transforming everyday transactions into opportunities for community impact.

More than just a seasonal campaign, Shop&Share aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), reinforcing its long-term commitment to nation-building and global sustainability.

To date, the program has reached more than 200 public schools, NGOs, and local communities across 35 provinces through its 77 SM Store branches.

In education, Shop&Share has made a meaningful difference through its collaborations. In 2024, SM Store and Mastercard joined forces to empower students pursuing Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) careers. The partnership provided scholarship grants to participants of the Ten Outstanding STEM Students (TOSS) program, helping young scholars pursue their academic dreams.

In 2025, SM Store relaunched its Shop&Share for Education campaign, delivering back-to-school kits to elementary students nationwide—from Luzon to Mindanao—ensuring that more children can return to school prepared and inspired.

One of the most heartwarming outcomes came from SM’s collaboration with World Vision. Through the funds raised by Shop&Share, brand-new, high-quality school shoes were distributed to children from low-income families in remote areas like Compostela, Cebu. In these communities where walking barefoot was not uncommon, proper footwear meant more than comfort—it meant safety, dignity, and belonging.

One tangible way Shop&Share helped World Vision partner communities was by providing school shoes to children from low-income families. In many remote and rural areas, families struggle to afford even the most basic school supplies, and proper footwear is often considered a luxury. In the community of Compostela, Cebu, many children used to walk long distances to school wearing worn-out slippers or, at times, barefoot. This exposed them to injury, illness, and social stigma, which affected their confidence and school attendance.

These shoes had a transformative effect. Children felt more motivated and confident to attend classes regularly, leading to improved school attendance. Having proper footwear also gave them a sense of equality and belonging among their peers, which helped boost their self-esteem. Moreover, the shoes provided essential protection against foot injuries, infections, and rough terrain during their daily commute to school.

The program has also addressed the health and wellbeing of young girls through the Shop&Share for Women campaign in 2024. Launched in celebration of International Women’s Month, this initiative distributed menstrual hygiene kits to young women across various NGO partners. It empowered them with both dignity and awareness as they navigated their journey to womanhood.

In 2023, Shop&Share extended its reach to the agricultural sector through its Sustainable Livelihood initiative. Partnering with farmers in Mindanao, the program distributed farming toolkits to help support their work and improve food production in rural areas—highlighting SM Store’s commitment to supporting essential yet often overlooked sectors.

During the 2024 holiday season, the program shifted focus to bring joy to children through Shop&Share a Toy, a heartfelt collaboration with Toy Kingdom. The initiative gifted toys to kids from underserved communities and partner organizations, creating joyful moments and lasting memories. That same year, the Share Shoes campaign provided new pairs of shoes to public school students and families in need—reminding recipients that even small gifts can bring comfort, confidence, and hope.

Across every season and campaign, SM Store’s Shop&Share proves that retail has the power to uplift lives. With each donation kit purchased, every shopper becomes part of a larger movement—one that brings hope to the underserved, dignity to the forgotten, and joy to the everyday Filipino. Shop&Share continues to show that meaningful change doesn’t always require grand gestures—sometimes, it starts with the simple choice to share.
