MANILA, Philippines — A shear line is affecting parts of the Visayas and Bicol region, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said yesterday.
In a heavy rainfall bulletin, the agency raised a yellow rainfall warning in Eastern Samar, Northern Samar, Samar, Biliran, Leyte, Albay and Sorsogon.
Potential impacts include localized flooding, possible mainly in areas that are urbanized, low lying or near rivers, along with landslide in highly susceptible areas.
Meanwhile, PAGASA is not monitoring any low-pressure area for tropical cyclone formation.
