Khalil Ramos, Barbie Forteza, Sharon Cuneta, and John Estrada for "Honor Thy Mother" at Prime Video Presents: Philippines

MANILA, Philippines — ABS-CBN and GMA Network will join forces a third time for the upcoming drama series "Honor Thy Mother" headlined by Sharon Cuneta and Barbie Forteza.
The project was officially unveiled during the Prime Video Presents: Philippines event last April 14 in Makati as the show will call the streaming platform its home.
GMA and ABS-CBN previously collaborated on the 2023 series "Unbreak My Heart" then again for the two seasons of "Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition."
"A CEO and her estranged daughter must unite to survive a deadly conspiracy, exploring mother-daughter reconciliation through corporate intrigue and redemption," goes a logline for "Honor Thy Mother."
Sharon and Barbie will portray the mother and daughter, and confirmed to join them in the cast are John Estrada and Khalil Ramos.
During the series' presentation, Sharon shared she'd often see Barbie at social events and always wondered when she'd finally get to do a project with her.

"We would [enjoy] talking to each other kaya noong nalaman kong siya [makakasama ko], yes," Sharon said onstage, adding that ABS-CBN and GMA collaborating again was like "two big families coming together under one roof," the roof being Prime Video.
Barbie similarly expressed her excitement to finally be working with Sharon, elaborating further in an Instagram post where she shared a photo of herself with the Megastar.
"She was the reason why I wanted to become an actress. Dreams do come true. Beyond excited to work with you po," Barbie wrote in her caption, tagging Sharon.
It can be recalled that Barbie starred in the 2023 television remake of "Maging Sino Ka Man," playing the character Sharon had originated in the 1991 film.
Barbie also hailed Prime Video at the event for streaming her movie "P77" after its theatrical run, expanding the horror film to a global audience.
