SC clears mom of parricide due to legal insanity

MANILA, Philippines — The Supreme Court has overturned the parricide conviction of a mother who killed her five-year-old daughter after jumping off a bridge. In a 14-page decision written by Associate Justice Samuel H. Gaerlan, the SC’s Third Division granted a mother’s appeal and overturned her parricide conviction on the ground of legal insanity due
